Design process for a game prototype.

The game lets the player control a sailboat and navigate the sea by steering the boat and loosen/pull the sails to keep an optimal angle with the wind.
This prototype is actually the end of an iterative design process starting from a prompt given by the teacher: design a game from the visit of a museum.

I first went visiting the Historium museum in Bruges and from that brainstormed several games idea.
After asking to friends and peers, I selected the 5 most liked concepts and elaborated on those.
Then I chose the best 3 ideas based on feasibility, originality and potential for fun, and developed a proof of concept to showcase their potential.
The most interesting proof of concept was this Sailing game, wich I then polished into a full-fleshed prototype.
