What's more meaningful in our lives than L.O.V.E.? Drive around this tiny town, find the sad brothers and cheer them up!
Beware of the local police though: those folks only speak the language of violence and will try to break your party in every possible way.

Now jump in your van, push the gas and spread colour, joy and most importantly L.O.V.E. in this boring soul-less city!

The game was made for the Unwrap Jam 2025, with a team of 6 people and 2,5 days at disposal.

We received a positive feedback from our peers at the game jam. Many praised the originality of the idea. I will show how we got to such idea, through an organised process that I directed.

Phase 1: We brainstormed THEMES (yellow post it's), starting from the Game Jam prompt: "SPREAD IT".
This phase is purely abstract, we just focus on connect as many words as possible to eachother

Phase 2: We stop brainstorming THEMES and we start generating GAME IDEAS (orange post it). We take the themes and think how they could be turned into games.

Phase 3: We evaluate the ideas we generated. We used a voting system of Miro to see which concept appealed to the majority of the group.

We eventually chose the hippie van, weed spreading game

We put that thread apart in the board and answers doubt about the concept to flesh it out more. We were asking for example "What would be the goal of this game?"

In the game you need to find circles of stoners in the town, and stay on them without getting caught by poolice.

As you complete a circle you start getting high as well, which is reflected on your camera view.

The effect increase the more circles you complete

By the end of the game controlling the van becomes almost impossible, but don't give up, it's not undoable!
